Chugach members may cast a ballot electronically via the Internet, starting April 25. Members were mailed a password separately from the election packet. Members will need their member number (located by the name and address on the return envelope in the mail-voting packet) and the password in order to cast a vote electronically. The electronic voting website address is https://eballot4.votenet.com/chugachelectric. Once an electronic vote has been received from a member they will no longer have access to vote electronically. Electronic voting will close at noon, Monday, May 23.

Four directors will be elected to the Chugach board in the upcoming 2011 election, three for 3-year terms and one to a 1-year term. In addition, there will also be two sets of proposed bylaw changes on the ballot.


April 13 is the record date for this year's election. The record date establishes the members eligible to vote. Non-natural members may check the designated voter for their ballot envelope by calling Member Services at 563-7366.


Mail-voting packets will be mailed to Chugach members of record the week of April 25. The packets will also include instructions on electronic voting.


The annual meeting and election will be held at the Dena'ina Civic & Convention Center Thursday, May 26. Registration will start at 6 p.m. The meeting will start at 7 p.m.

Chugach rates are the lowest PDF Print E-mail

The challengers in the election will want to show that Chugach is mismanaged and not doing well. Bloated union contracts etc. The utility rates will show the facts that Chugach rates are the lowest in the Railbelt.
